No-Till Drill Equipment will be available to rent from the districts. This project provides landowners the opportunity to try out No-Till/Minimal Till and Cover Crop procedures at an affordable cost. The purpose of this project is to educate landowners in the use of no-till drill and cover crop farm practices.

​Direct Seed Cover Crops Provide:
  • less soil disturbance
  • increase in water and organic matter in the soil
  • decrease erosion
  • control of weeds
  • increase in nutrients in the soil
 ​Cost:
$10.00 per acre and $60.00 per day.

The Districts  drill is available for rent. If interested in renting a drill contact us at (208) 944-3655 or Barbara @ (208) 731-1260. 
Interested landowners can download the Lease Agreement and bring completed forms into the Gooding Office. Lessee must provide proof of insurance.
Transportation:
Leesee is responsible for transportation.

Q. How long do I have to use the drill?
You can let us know approximately how long you think it will take you to plant, and reservations can be made accordingly. We realize that rain or other unforeseen weather events can delay planting. We will work with you and the other scheduled producers to make sure everyone has the opportunity to get their planting done.
Q. Can I plant grass seed with the drill?
